helena grady
LL.B (Hons) TEP Solicitor- Director and Compliance Office for Legal Practice
Since qualification as a Solicitor in 2001, Helena has specialised solely in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Probate work. As well as working in solicitors’ practices she also has the experience of working with business owners at an accountancy firm in Derbyshire.
Helena is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. STEP members (known as TEPs) are internationally recognised as experts in their field with proven qualification and experience. Helena is also a Dementia Friend.
Helena has a wealth of experience in all aspects of estate planning, including the preparation of Wills, planning for Inheritance tax and nursing home care fees. She also deals with issues surrounding capacity, such as the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
It is Helena’s responsibility to deal with the administration of estates, whether straightforward or more complex and the preparation of Inheritance tax forms and Probate applications. It is really important to Helena to help Executors and family members through a difficult and sad time by taking as much of the work and worry away from them as possible.
Helena endeavours to make legal services accessible and understandable and offers home visits to enable everyone to access our services regardless of their mobility. You will receive advice to suit your circumstances, however complex they may be. The advice will be understandable and without the jargon.
Legal matters can be difficult to understand. Helena’s aim is to make meetings and conversations as relaxed and straightforward as possible.
When not working, Helena enjoys hiking and recently got the ‘running bug’. She has completed several 10k races and enjoys the sense of achievement.
colin fogwill
ACISI- Director and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration
Colin has over 35 years in the financial sector. He set up Fogwill and Jones Asset Management Limited in 2000 to provide clients with an independent financial service and became a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
In July 2001 Colin set up Fogwill & Jones (Corporate Services) Limited, now named Fogwill & Jones (Legal Services) Limited, to allow his clients to have access to Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate administration and trust services all under one roof. He has over 30 years of experience in assisting clients with estate administration and trust administration.
With Colin’s drive, the firm obtained Solicitors Regulatory Authority approval in 2019 to offer these services as well as reserved activities relating to making Probate applications and preparing all types of Trust Deeds.
As part of his role, Colin is the Compliance Office for Finance and Administration.
Colin’s in depth knowledge and experience of tax legislation, coupled with his focus on personal service, has created a company with the high level personal and professional services required to handle the complexities of today’s legal and taxation regulations. Colin is motivated and driven to provide clients with the legal services they need.
When he is not working, Colin enjoys travelling and exploring new countries.
Olivia naylor
BA (Hons) Accounts Manager and Company Secretary
Olivia has a 1st Class Mathematics Degree and has an analytical approach and enjoyment for complex numerical aspects. She handles the accounts for the business and ensures that client money is allocated and kept up to date.
With several years of experience working for a liquidator, administrative and customer facing roles, Olivia has the skills needed to provide an accurate and professional service to clients. She has a keen eye for detail and believes that accuracy is of paramount importance when dealing with client funds.
Outside of work Olivia enjoys going to the gym regularly, travelling overseas and spending time with her family and friends.
Ruth Hutton
Administration and Probate Assistant
Ruth has been a valuable member of staff for many years. She has a wealth of experience in Probate and has worked closely with Executors providing a very caring and detailed overview to assist them at a very difficult time. She currently assists Helena Grady with Probate work and with day to day administration in the practice. She keeps the client account up to date and ensures that client money is allocated.
Outside of work, Ruth is a keen cyclist and has raised money for charity by cycling a 103 mile sportive, enjoys running, walking, hiking and travelling both in the UK and abroad.
